I'm taking advantage of half a free hour to catch up with what I should be looking at here on Nebraska Learns...and trying not to feel guilty about not doing the other stuff on my list, but hey, it's all about balance, right?
Last weekend was a lot of fun, I took my daughter & her girlfriend to go see Twilight, and a couple of Gere's teens happened to be at the same show. We sat together and just had a blast.
HOWEVER, then for the next two hours (I kid you not) I was forced to listen to my daughter and her girlfriend argue about who was going to marry Jacob, and how awful/ugly Edward was compared to the beloved Jacob. *sigh*
Teen Advisory Board met this week, and given that we are in the middle of several meetings which are essentially holiday parties, I forced them all to do a solid 45 minutes of weeding work in the YA paperbacks. They were thrilled, I could tell. :)
Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and in keeping with the crazy burst of productivity I started late last night, I'm going to call this blog entry 'in the can' and go on to my next task.
Peace

Yay Me!
Looky here! It's a blog!
It's a Sunday night. Since the recent increase in hours on Sundays, I've been trying to decide, in my own head, if it was a useful change.
The benefits I see are; the day is less packed and thus less crazy, teens and young adults seem to really be taking advantage - using the study rooms ALL DAY and generally getting a lot more studying done, and frankly, working more hours on the weekend gives me more week day time free, which I like.
All that said, it's still a really long day, and staring at 11:00 a.m. befuddles my metabolism no end. SO, a tossup, I guess. At any rate, this rare slow hour has given me the opportunity to poke around some more into the 2.0 learning, and here we are!
